Embodiment Practices for Conscious Transformation: Perception

In this four-part series (drop-ins welcome), Cara will guide you through a variety of meditation techniques designed to decrease stress and reactivity, grow self-compassion and enhance your potential for change.

Cara’s approach to meditation is rooted in Somatic practice; using our breath, movement and attention to enhance our awareness of how the body is perceived from within. In her classes, you’ll learn a bit of theory with plenty of time to integrate the learning via playful exploration and practice. 

Students will experiment with breath, movement, visualization, reflective writing and subtle energy exercises for the benefit of body, mind and spirit. Class material is inspired by Embodied Anatomy & Senses, Ideokinesis, the Chakra model, PolyVagal Theory and eastern philosophies. 

Dip your toes into the water as a drop-in, or experience the full arc of this four class series. Each class is 75 minutes and material will build. Looking forward to exploring with you!

Bio

Cara Liguori is a Somatic Practitioner, Movement Educator and writer.  She considers meditation the conscious movement of our attention. She established a healing practice after a decade of performing and teaching dance led her to explore the intersections of body, mind, emotion, soul and spirit through human movement development, therapeutic bodywork, relational practice, meditation and dreamwork. Cara is currently a certified practitioner of Zero Balancing, Esalen Massage and Pilates, a Natural Dreamwork practitioner in training and a Somatic Movement Educator certification candidate through the School for BodyMind Centering.

Pricing and Registration:

This series is offered on a sliding scale. Students can use their package or choose to pay a single class price of $10, $15, or $20. This sliding scale offers students to select the cost of pay according to what you understand about your financial situation.
